Who are you and what do you do?
I am the Funky Bunny and I play bass and I play funk music.
What do you do in the real world?
I am a full-time bass player. I teach guitar and bass a little bit and play gigs.
What inspired you to create the Funky Bunny?
It’s all a bit of a haze. I felt as though when I play the music, I almost become a different person. It’s the animated sound the music has. So I thought about animals and bunnies are kind of playful and fluffy and cute so it just seemed to go together well with funk music.
What’s the Funky Bunnies biggest challenge right now?
It’s an existential one. What I am doing and where I am going next year.
Looking to travel?
Probably yeah, looking to tour Europe, just not sure how I am going to do it yet.
Would you tour as the Funky Bunny?
What music inspires you?
Everything really. Right now I am listening to Aphix Twin. I listen to Electronica, old school funk, psychedelic rock, all sorts of stuff.
